The Great Escape

We Are Scientists - The Great Escape

The Great Escape festival is ace, 3 days (15th, 16th and 17th of May) loads of bands and parties galore. This'll be the festival's third year and probably the best yet. There are too many bands to list and everybody's tastes are different but there's something for everyone, check the website if you don't believe me. Last year i was pretty partied out by Saturday afternoon (having drank too much TVR and harrassed Does It Offend You, Yeah? the night before) so i ended up in the Red Roaster (it's a cafe) watching Micah P Hinson and some other very pretty accoustic songstress in a comfy sofa drinking coffee which wouldn't usually have been my cup of er... tea? but was exactly what i needed at the time and very enjoyable. Tickets are about £50 including booking fee (unless you were smart and got some early bird ones) and whilst it might sound a little steep for 3 gigs there's plenty of other stuff that you get discounted/free entry to, including after parties. I know Somewhere In The Universe has got something pretty exiting lined up for Thursday and Friday. Get your tickets now before you're disappointed.

I don't think i need to say much about We Are Scientists other than it's nice to see an indie band with a personality and a sense of humour.
